One of the biggest mistakes most process initiatives make is that they leave live dragons out of the process even though those dragons are alive and well, hovering over our processes just waiting for the chance to pounce.

Of course what we mean by this is the pervasive need for organizations, people and processes to adapt on the scene to unexpected demands as they arise. This is, in essence, the orchestrating of process for real-time demand.
