It is far easier to make a right decision that it is to make a decision right. In these days of the information age, we are awash with information we can use in the decision-making process. The challenge is not in finding information – it is in finding the right information needed to support good decisionmaking.
Most astute people can, when given relevant information, logically and rationally make a decision that seems right. Many such decisions are defensible, meaning that the analysis of the information available is highly likely to validate such decisions. Yet that doesn’t mean it is a good decision, and it doesn’t mean the decision was made in the right way.
